Animals....Dogs and cats must have a current rabies tag and city animal license,
domestic fowl, pot belly pigs, pigmy goats are not allowed.
Pets outside of the residence must be on a leash no longer than 10 feel long,
vicious or wild animals are not permitted,
animal excrement must be cleaned up and yes, there are ordinances that address barking dogs.
Vehicles.... Are considered abandoned if left unmoved on a public street for over 72 hours.
All vehicles must be currently registered, licensed, insured and road-worthy, those that aren't need to be completely enclosed in a garage.
The police can tow any nuisance vehicle without notice.
Trash and outdoor storage...If it looks bad, it's probably not allowed and that includes but is not limited to tires, old lumber, rubbish, garbage, piles of branches and other junk.
Weeds....Grass or weeds more than six inches high are not allowed,
trees and bushes that block the view of city signs must be trimmed and all vegetation on property from the front curb to the alley right-of-way is the responsibility of the property resident.
Snow....Snow and or ice must be removed from paved sidewalks within 24 hours after the storm.
Yard sales....Permits are required (they are free at City Hall) and limited to four sales per property per year with the sale limited to two consecutive days.
Don't put signs on city posts or city owned property.
Signs on private property advertising the sale must be removed on the day following the sale.
